Let me be the first to introduce you to )

Christmas Eve 1989. A night when most of us are going to church services or opening presents. For the Griffins, that Christmas brought a very special and slightly unexpected gift - their 3rd child: Kendrick John. KJ wasn't exactly a planned baby like his older brother, Jason, and sister had been. After his older sister Drucilla was born, they thought they were totally done having kids. One girl and one boy - picture perfect family, right? Well, they didn't plan on having a rather wild St.Patrick's day and they found out Austin was on his way on Mother's Day of that year. Mr. & Mrs. Griffin weren't at all upset at the thought of a 3rd child, after all, Jason did need a brother to confide in and do brotherly things with. They viewed KJ as a blessing and a gift from the moment he came into the world after making his mother go into labor during Christmas Eve services. The Griffins received another shock when KJ's baby sister, Sari, was born when he was about 3 years old.

Throughout his childhood, KJ was like most boys. He played sports, terrorized his sisters, liked cartoons, all what you would expect of a typical boy. If his arrival suggests anything, he was a very mischievous child. In school, his teachers liked him, but he was one of those students that they were glad to see leave. It's not like he was an idiot or didn't care about his work - he was just like a teenage Jeff Spicoli, but without the drugs and surfer attitude. He basically provided comic relief to any situation, but his jokes could be a bit corny at times.Yet, he was very close to his sister Dru.

Like his big sister, KJ was also a dancer....well for a very short time. His style of choice? Contemporary with a hint of ballet. He started dancing simply because Dru was doing it, and he was in this phase where he wanted to do everything that she did. He quit dancing after being heckled about it by some boys at his school, but he became quite attached to a girl he met there - Diana Smirnoff. He had a major crush on her for years. When he finally admitted that he liked Diana, he was surprised and yet happy to learn that she also liked him. The two were together for around six months before realizing that they were better off friends and went back to being best friends.

Sadly, as most people know, life is not a fairy tale. When KJ was 16, his parents were tragically killed in a car accident. The situation devastated the Griffin children, but if anything, it drew them closer together. When Dru found out that she was pregnant, KJ was the first person that she told. Although he was shocked, he supported his sister's decision to keep the baby. After his niece, Renae, was born, KJ became an outstanding uncle. He was Dru's coach when she went into labor and absolutely bawled when he saw the newborn - though he'd never admit it out loud.

KJ is currently enrolled at UC Santa Cruz on a track and field scholarship. He isn't quite sure what he'll major in, but he was surprisingly gifted in acting when he was in high school. He was a very active member of the school's drama club. KJ's favorite movie is The Dead Poets Society, and his motto has always been "Carpe Diem". If he can't seize the day, then he feels that he has failed in what he tried to achieve.
